I’m a Diver… and I Want to Stay Underwater Longer!
I’m a Diver… and I Want to Stay Underwater Longer!
If you’ve ever stared at your dive computer and thought, “Already time to go up?” — we hear you.
Welcome to the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty at Triton Adventures, where we help you safely extend your bottom time beyond the no-decompression limit, using smart skills and extra gas — not extra stress.
So, What’s This Course About?
This course teaches you how to safely exceed your no-decompression limit (NDL) by up to 10 minutes, using planned, limited decompression with recreational gear and one awesome upgrade: a stage cylinder.
Here’s the cool part — the stage cylinder uses the same gas as your back cylinder (usually air or nitrox). You’ll learn how to safely switch to that gas during the dive to increase your available supply and give yourself the breathing room (pun intended) for a smooth, controlled decompression ascent.
You’ll cover:
The theory of decompression diving
Dive planning using tables and dive computers
Gas management strategies for staged dives
How to set up, carry, and switch to a stage cylinder safely
How to execute a clean, confident decompression dive
No need for tech-diving overkill — just solid skills and smart planning.
Dive the Famous Zenobia Wreck
As part of your training, you’ll do 4 dives over 2 days, and 2 of those dives take place on the iconic Zenobia shipwreck — one of the top 10 wreck dives in the world. It’s the perfect deep, multi-level environment to apply your new decompression skills and explore something truly unforgettable.
Why Do It With Triton Adventures?
Because we keep things easy to book, hard to forget.
At Triton Adventures in Ayia Napa, we specialise in making you a safer, more capable diver while keeping the training clear, calm, and practical.
Your instructor, Godfrey, is a highly experienced professional who’s taught everyone from new adventurers to advanced wreck lovers. He focuses on real-world diving, not just textbook theory — so what you learn sticks and actually makes you better in the water.
So What Can I Do After This Course?
Once certified, you’ll be able to:
Dive to 40 meters with up to 10 minutes of planned decompression
Use a stage cylinder with the same gas as your main tank
Safely switch gases underwater and manage redundancy
Plan and execute longer, safer deep dives
Get way more out of wrecks, walls, and underwater photography sessions
It’s the perfect next step for experienced divers who want to go deeper for longer without diving into the full technical realm.
